Congratulations on starting the process of obtaining your very own Gustave! Don't worry, it's a relatively painless process and we're here to help every step of the way:
1. The first thing you'll need to do is find or take photos. As these photos will be the basis for the painting, the ones you choose are of great importance. The pictures need to be high quality (camera phone pics need not apply) and should capture the essence of your subject. If you can't decide on which pictures to use, send all of your acceptable shots and we'll help you pick a decide. If you don't have any high quality photos, just let us know and we can help arrange a photo shoot of your subject ( additional charges may apply).
2. Contact us to let us know you're ready to move forward. Be sure to include your complete contact information, pics (3 minimum) along with commentary on any specific traits/features of your pooch you want to capture. Once we hear from you we'll assign a spot on the waiting list, provide an estimated completion date and will send deposit instructions. ($100 non-refundable deposit to secure waiting list slot). FAQ- "But... my photo's are too large to send via email" Don't worry, go ahead and send us an email with all the other information. We'll respond with a secure upload link.
3. Patience, grasshoppa! About a month before your name crests the top of the waiting list, we'll provide a design mock-up of your painting. Gustave loves feedback and strongly encourages you to provide all thoughts/wishes/desires you may have before the painting commences. If your pet has any "special" looks that you want captured/replicated in the painting, now is the time to let those be known. The balance of your fee is due once you approve the mock-up.
4. Ta-daaa! For Gustave there is nothing sweeter than unveiling a one of a kind work that you'll enjoy forever. We encourage our patrons to accept delivery at his studio in south Dallas. While there, he can give you an overview of the process (and maybe even a glass of vino, if you so choose). If you are unable to take delivery in person, we are happy to help you arrange for shipping.
